Kiyoshi Kuromiya: Critical Path
World Premiere Recording with Riley Braase, clarinet
In April, 2025, clarinetist Riley Braase recorded Kiyoshi Kuromiya: Critical Path at the Tempest Recording Studios in Tempe, Arizona.
The recording is scheduled to be released in 2026 and will be the work’s first studio recording. The piece was commissioned by clarinetist Shawn Copeland and chronicles the life of AIDS activist Kiyoshi Kuromiya. Find out more about the piece in the Portfolio.
