RWO continues its series of Salon concerts! This one will feature the debut of the Rhymes With Orchestra - a team of RWO's instrumentalist friends who will be performing new music written for the ensemble and RWO, including selections from my recent operas The Persistence of Smoke and Heartbreak Express.

Gotham Chamber Opera presents another downtown show, this time called Gotham Chamber Opera Steps Out, and featuring Miracles of Modern Science and Gabriel Kahane. For this edition of our LPR show, Gotham will be featuring works by our resident artists, including our assistant conductor Geoff McDonald (cellist in MOMS), our composer-in-residence Lembit Beecher (in partnership with the Opera Company of Philadelphia), and me, the producing associate.

The Christ Church Choir, conducted by Dr. Steven PIlkington, performs the premiere of Transfiguration Sunday as a part of the 11am service. The work was commissioned by Christ Church, and is scored for mixed chorus, handbell choir, string quartet and organ.

Rhymes With Opera will be the featured performers at NYsoundCircuit's June event at the Mary Flagler Cary Hall in the beautiful DiMenna Center. Featured on RWO's program will be the premiere of a work by Adam Matlock, a reprise of Kathleen Bader's Leads, and the premiere of a new work with Chicago-based writer Benjamin Rogers, inspired by the life of Mary Flagler Cary and and the legacy of Standard Oil.

The Hong Kong Sinfonietta premieres a new prelude based on a Cantonese folksong. Clair de lune on Hammer Hill will be part of the Sinfonietta's popular "Good Music for Babies" concerts, conducted by Jason Lai.
